We decided Leah's first name a while ago but had not agreed on a middle name yet. I had been having false labor signs for about a week and we were getting anxious for her arrival, but we still hadn't decided an offical full name. Last Thursday night, Brian and I jokingly said that maybe Leah is waiting to come until we've agreed on a middle name. The last name we tossed around for consideration was Catherine (after Saint Catherine of Siena). The next day at dinner, we brought it up again and agreed that we both liked it, but still sort of left things open for any other name inspirations that may come along. An hour later, my water broke and we were on our way to the hospital to meet our new daughter. Leah told us what her name would be by deciding to come when she heard her official name, Leah Catherine.
Today is St. Catherine of Siena's feast day. St. Catherine Pray for us!
