Jacob has always loved the songs, dances, and all around fun from the High School Musical movies [mostly because so have I (Kim)]. This movie sparked his love for basketball. His favorite song used to be "Getcha Head in the Game" and he would run around with his little basketball singing the words. Later he moved on to singing the words to the song "Something New" under his breath as he was playing with his toys and I kept telling myself that I needed to get in on video. So finally, I have actual footage of Jacob singing all the words (even the yays, oohs, and ohs) to this song from the first High School Musical movie where the characters Troy and Gabriella meet when forced into doing a karoake song together. For those of you who might not catch it or are not extremely familiar with this movie, there is a part where Troy leans into the microphone to empasize a word he's singing. See if you notice that Jacob copies this move as he's watching and singing along too. I was trying not to laugh because I didn't want him to know I was using the video feature on our digital camera to record him. Watch out American Idol! Maybe this will be part of Jacob's video footage when he is on American Idol 15 years from now.
