Jacob's First Soccer Team

Last week Jacob had his very first soccer practices. He's playing in a YMCA soccer league for kids ages 3-5. He has practice on Mondays and "games" on Wednesday. Grandma York took him to his first practice on Monday and the rest of the family came to watch the "game" on Wednesday night. I use the term "game" loosely because they are still learning exactly how to play a game of soccer. This particular lesson focused on offense and defense. Jacob has a blast and loves kicking the ball around. He listens to the coach and tries to follow all the directions. It's so fun to watch our little guy growing up right before our eyes. Still, towards the end he was asking to go play on the playground nearby, but spending 45 minutes of his attention on the field was pretty darn good if you ask me.
