Jacob turns Five

Wow! Five years has gone by fast. I can't believe we have a five year old! Jacob is such an amazing kid. His favorite activities are playing board games and computer games, going bowling, and riding fast roller coasters. This year he has learned how to read, write his first and last name and phone number, and make his own breakfast and jelly (no peanut butter) sandwiches as needed. He loves asking questions and trying to figure out how things work. He is finishing his first year of preschool and will begin kindergarten in the fall. Here are some highlights of his birthday "week."

Jacob turned five on Mother's Day this year.

His first trip to Chuck E. Cheese's on the afternoon of his birthday.

Presenting his poster about himself at preschool on Monday. He was so excited!

Since Nana Helms was in town visiting, Mommy was able to come without the other kids to play with Jacob at preschool. He kept telling me how happy he was that I was there. Thanks, Nana!

Jacob went bowling with a few of his friends for his "party."
They bowled one game and then went out for Dairy Queen ice cream.
