What I Did on My Vacation by Peter

Peter's vacation activites were a little more diverse than Jacob's, although most of them still involved being in or around water. At Grandma and Grandpa's pool, he was much more cautious compared to his cavalier brother and preferred to play beside it rather than in it. We're pretty sure that he emptied half of the pool onto the surrounding cement and plants via his buckets during the week.

We took a brief road trip to spend a couple of nights in Myrtle Beach, S.C. This was Peter's first time ever to see the ocean and go to the real "beach." We knew he would just love the sand. As soon as we could after we arrived, we took everybody to walk on the beach (even though it was already dark). Peter quickly discovered the sand and dove belly first onto it and began running it through his fingers and scooping it up (pictured below). The next day he got to work building his sandcastles "just like Yiyo and Stitch" (which pretty much involved scooping sand into this buckets and transferring it back and forth). Peter was also introduced to Chic-fil-a (pretty much the best fast food chain EVER and not located in the midwest . . . sad) and enjoyed it on more than one occasion during the week.

Peter had a blast on vacation. Enjoy the photo highlights below!
