Leah is 9 months old this week and we can't believe how much she's grown in the last month.
She is:
- crawling around everywhere now, still "gimply," but she's mobile (She has discovered our cat, Oscar, and lights up with complete giddyness when she sees him and bolts towards him as fast as she can. He has wisened up to her hair pulling and runs away as fast as possible.)
- eating finger foods and pureed baby foods 3 times a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) with the rest of the family. Her favorite is peas and cheerios!
- drinking from her cup all by herself (as recently blogged)
- babbling ma-ma, and da-da
- waving hello/goodbye (we've been doing other signs with her, but she hasn't reproduced them on her own yet)
- still toothless, but we are enjoying her gummy smiles while they last
With all these new milestones and accomplishments, she has begun the road to baby independence and will be heading into the stretch for toddlerhood before we know it. We're just trying to appreciate the "big baby" she still is right now!
