Jacob has become quite the little phone man. He wants to call people all the time. He races to answer the phone when it rings and promptly says, "Hello, " and begins informing the person on the other line (whether he knows them or not) about his day and what he's doing and whether he's gone to the potty recently or not. All things that I'm sure the telemarketer on the other end is glad to know. But alas, it's usually one of our family members and so they indulge him on his long tirades, kindly responding when appropriate, but patiently waiting for Brian or I to rescue them from 3 year old logic and reason. If he's this interested in the phone now, what are we in for 10 years from now?

Definitely an age thing! Lily LOVES to answer the phone, too. I'm often surprised at the people who are not family and stay on for a good three minutes or so. Marie and Jaci on the other hand do not like answering the phone. Perhaps it is something they outgrow until the tween years?
