Amazing Minnesota Discovery

On our 24 hour vacation we also discovered Gooseberry Falls State Park. The waterfalls consist of a Upper, Middle, and Lower Falls that flow down through a rocky gorge on the shore of Lake Superior. Brian has lived in Minnesota almost his entire life and never knew about this place. We thought you just observed the falls from the sidelines and didn't think to throw on swimsuits, but when we arrived and saw everyone else wading around the shallow pools we knew we wouldn't be able to keep Jacob and Peter's clothes dry for very long. I think Brian had as much fun as the boys climbing over the rocks and wading through the shallow pools exploring these spectacular waterfalls upclose. I was in charge of Leah who stayed in her carseat the whole time as I carted her around the falls and took pictures. It was a beautiful day and we had a blast discovering such a jewel of nature in our home state.
