During the winter we take the kids to the Mall of America often. For those of you who have never been, there is an amusment park (several roller coasters included) in the center of the mall. They have tons of kiddie rides but some of them have different height requirements based on what kind of ride it is.
Jacob has been asking to ride the bumper cars for as long as we can remember. Since it is a kids only ride (no chaperone allowed) and it is on the taller end of the height requirement, he hasn't been ready yet. But a couple of weekends ago, it was time to try it out. We figured he would get stuck in corner somewhere and not know how to drive the thing. I waited in line with him (as dad couldn't stand the claustrophobia of the fairly long waiting line) and as we were watching each set of kids go before us I coached him on how to drive and explained how the purpose of the ride was to bump into people. He assured me that he could do it.
Take a look at the video to see for yourself. Brian took the video with his phone so the quality isn't the greatest and the sound might be a little loud so be prepared to adjust your volume.
I think he did an awesome job!
