Preschool Field Trip

Yesterday Jacob had his first preschool field trip to Pine Tree Apple Orchard in White Bear Lake. Peter, Leah, and I tagged along. It was a chilly morning, but the sun was out and it was a nice day. We went on a walking tour of the orchard and learned all about how apples grow and are harvested on their farm. The kids got to see the correct way to pick an apple off a tree, the kitchen where bakers were making apple pies and turnovers, and the big refrigerator where the harvested apples are stored. They did a great job of listening to the tour guide and following directions! And to finish the tour they had a treat of apple cider and apple doughnuts, yum!
